What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A lazy sunny summer long weekend spent with favorite friends and family,  down at the beach, and enjoying authentic Italian pizza and sparkling wine on the patio, with the perfect playlist in the background. Oh and our new favourite activity – Bocce Ball in the backyard!

What is your greatest extravagance?
Travel.  With my husband also being a part of the luxury hospitality industry, it has afforded us the opportunity to travel to some pretty outstanding global destinations.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse? 
“Amazing!” and “Ohhhhh….that’s perfect!”

What is your motto? 
The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters. –Audrey Hepburn

What is your most treasured possession? 
(Confession) I’m kind of a hoarder of mementos from our travels (with the greatest of intentions that I will put them together in some special way).  But truly, getting memories off of my phone/digital format and into something physical that I can pass down to my daughter is of great importance to me. I remember loving looking through my family albums as a child and hearing all the stories.

In terms of physical items: my wedding rings, my daughters birthstone band from my husband, and my Silver d’Orsay Manolos that many special women in my life gave to me for my wedding day.

What is your most marked characteristic? 
Always the host! I LOVE to throw a party.

Who is your hero? 
Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp Randall Fraser – loooong before Outlander was a show. Her strength, passion and courage to follow her heart.  Eight books strong and still going, it captured my heart at a very formative age.

What is your MUST HAVE for a celebration? 
Good music and good guests. Music has that magic way of transporting us back to a time and place in our lives! Fun people always make for an amazing time (add in great wine/cocktails and they get even more fun)!

BIO

Following her heart, Andrea moved from Toronto to Chicago in 2009.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Ryerson University. Andrea started her career as a member of catering teams at a number of prestigious Toronto hotels, including Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. After relocating to Chicago, she remained in the luxury hotel market working for the Elysian Hotel (now known as the Waldorf Astoria Hotel Chicago) which was recognized by Conde Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure as the #1 rated Hotel in the United States.

Both personally and professionally she has planned everything from intimate affairs to a Hollywood A-list wedding. Andrea loves to be inspired by her client’s personalities, while also drawing inspiration from her own extensive travel experience. Some of her favorite places she has visited thus far include: Marbella Spain, Paris, Munich, London and of course, Italy.

She has learned over the years, no matter the size of your wedding, guests will remember your day if it is a reflection of the two of you, both individually and as a couple. It’s finding out these little pieces about you and how they can be interjected into your special day that most excites Andrea when working with new couples.

When Andrea is not in professional planning mode, she’s likely to be found curating fun finds at boutique stores in the city for her new home in Winnetka, out to brunch (the new dinner once you’ve had a baby!) or cooking and entertaining at home with her family with music blaring! Andrea draws inspiration from her passions: food, travel and interior design.
