It's no secret that we love a good party here at Bliss, and while wedding festivities are surely our expertise, we find such joy in everyday entertaining!
Once this time of year rolls around we are positively giddy-- from a carefully curated Thanksgiving table and dynamite menu to enjoy to over-the-top Christmas cocktail parties and cozy caroling gatherings, we cannot get enough of the celebration that the end of the year brings.
So as we set out to create our perfect Thanksgiving - rather, Friendsgiving - we did so keeping some of our nearest and dearest at heart.
While the traditional Thanksgiving feast is important to us, we wanted to incorporate small bites to round out the meal, rather than the traditional sides. And while wine parings are beloved by all of the Bliss Belles + Beau, we felt that a true Friendsgiving was festive, fun and sometimes downright silly... so cocktail pairings with our tapas-style meal seemed only appropriate.
We were able to raid the Tablescapes collections and couldn't be more excited to show where we landed. Our goal is inspiration for our clients -- and in doing so, we've included some of our favorite recipes that would make your Friendsgiving a paired success.
Pacific Northwest is my personal favorite and usually a good crowd-pleaser. To get specific, Kumamoto is usually a safe bet.
Cocktail Pairing: The Party Starter
A petite vodka martini, up, incredibly chilled in a darling mini champagne flute.
I have a confession. My favorite pumpkin soup comes in a box from Trader Joe's. With all your other party prep, I certainly suggest the same. Top with finely diced apples, roasted & salted pumpkin seeds (also from TJ's!) or dried cranberries. We love this in a mini demitasse cup.
Roasted Autumn Salad
This recipe from Martha is quick, easy and incredibly delicious!

Hands down my favorite turkey recipe of all times. Ever. I LOVE Ina.
Pairing: Bliss Beau-deaux
Pinot Noir, Bordeaux, Rose or Pinot Grigio are my favorites for turkey wine pairings. Avoid Chardonnay and Merlot!
We're just mad for this Plum Crumble dessert recipe over at Craving Fresh.
Cocktail Pairing: Wrap It Up
Dinner's over, it's time to break out the games and Home Alone will be on TV soon. It's time to "Wrap it Up." A little sweet in case your friends don't have room for dessert, but a beautiful dinner-ender.
