Real Wedding: Kristen & Charlie

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Being in this business, we get the true honor of getting to work with gorgeous decor, 5-star cuisine, dreamy details and, most importantly, we get to meet so many amazing people. And wow... does this wedding capture all of these honors and so much more. Kristen and Charlie look straight out of Hollywood... Kristen's a stunning, tall blonde with the most infectious smile and impeccable style. Charlie is dapper and dashing and loves Kristen (and golf!) in the ways that you see in the movies. But on top of it all, they are a thoughtful, incredibly fun couple who wanted their wedding weekend to celebrate their families coming together in a chic and personal manor. Kristen and Charlie were married at Kenilworth Union Church - a church that was a big part of both of their childhood's, followed by drinks, feasting and a wild dance party at the {gorgeous!} Peninsula Hotel. The inspiration for the day was elegant but cozy and the palette of ivory, cream and gold complemented the perfect fall day. To celebrate Charlie's love of golf, we (Jesse Deckard and the Event Creative team) transformed the cocktail party in to a smart little golf party - with a custom mini-golf set up and personalized golf balls, golf-flag drink stirrers and green and white custom fabrics for the pillows. The playful golf details were left behind as guests entered the ballroom for dinner {to the incredibly talented and lively tunes from Colby Bessera!} where white orchids draped down long feasting tables, thoughtful details by Cheree Berry Paper graced the tables and thousands of candles flickered around the room. After a surf and turf dinner, guests twirled on the dance floor, enjoyed the terrace at the Peninsula (where we arranged for a cigar bar in light of Kristen's dad's love for them!) and even enjoyed a surprise performance from the groom's brother. It was a night of beauty and love and we were honored to be a part of it all!

Romantic Reception: Behind the Scenes

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We have been patiently waiting to be able to share with you all the behind-the-scenes look at our CS Brides shoot for their new issue out today! We were thrilled when CS Brides asked us to be one of three wedding companies to create a tablescape around the color scheme of "Blood orange and tangerine". Our creative juices instantly started to flow. Renny had just gotten back from a beach vacation with her family and we were obsessed with the idea of incorporating tortoise, that mimicked a pattern on some shells she had picked up along the beach. Here are the inspiration boards we came up with:

We enlisted the help of the creative genius, Jesse Deckard from Event Creative and hit the pavement! After much collaboration, Jesse was able to turn all our ideas into a reality. He created the beautiful white lacquered scalloped table, the antique chairs with the adorable peach and white stripe cushions, the beautiful flower arrangements and he even added in his personal tortoise vase collection! What a guy!!

It all took place at the gorgeous Public Hotel on their Ava Terrace that provided the perfect city backdrop! It was the perfect mix of preppy, romantic and city charm.

The classic charm from the original 1926 building still exists. Our romantic reception setting was a flawless fit.- Renny

The Bliss Belles working their magic!

Elizabeth Grace stepped up to provide all our pretty printables for the day, used to label our candy in our candy caddy, the notes for our welcome boxes given to all the guests, and the placement cards to ensure our guests were seated correctly. Multiple vendors help to create the perfect welcome box that awaited each guest in their rooms. So Cute & Cozy personalized not only our guests' napkins but also their robes so they could relax after the big night. Carols Cookies provided the perfect late night sweet while Mother Butters covered the savory aspect. we think both would pair perfectly with a night cap of Grand Marnier! A Jo Malone travel candle and Laura Mercier body scrub also had a place in our welcome box to insure that each guest can indulge to the max!

Our finished product!

Our candy caddy to calm your sweet tooth!

Obsessed with the peach and white stripe chairs that Jesse created!

Thank you for everyone who helped make this happen. We had a blast and hope you all enjoy this pristine partyscape as much as we do!!

Our Easter Table

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

What a weekend!! Our Easter table was overflowing with baskets, chocolates, flowers (tulips and hydrangeas), touches of Peter Rabbit here and there (a childhood favorite),  sugared eggs, crepe paper wrapped gifts for the kids and most importantly our friends and family. On Friday, we  threw a neighborhood party for the kids to dye eggs.  They sat in adorable Anthropologie Farmer's Market Baskets throughout the Dining table. Saturday morning was the Egg hunt for the kids in the local park.  We stuffed and hid over 300 eggs with candy and games.  The kids loved every minute. Sunday afternoon we clinked our mimosas together and began our meal consisting of amazing southern cheese grits (see recipe below), the must-have traditional honey baked ham, grilled asparagus, cranberry poppy seed muffins, and a jello salad with strawberries, bananas, blueberries and pecans. We topped it all off with everyone's favorite, homemade New York cheesecake! We hope you all a wonderful Easter weekend as well! On to the next holiday!

Ladies that Lunch

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We kicked off spring yesterday with a ladies lunch and couldn’t resist sharing our table with you! The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing and the perky, yellow daffodils and tulips lit up our table. We served a classic goat cheese and strawberry spinach salad on top of our bright, floral Anthropologie plates. Our mason jar mugs were filled to the brim with thyme lemonade, that sat next to our dijon striped napkins.  Ella was a wonderful help as our “Official Lemonade Taste Tester” and typical Lucy was not in the mood to deal with any of it! It was quite picturesque and great way to spend the first spring afternoon that kicks off what will be our busiest wedding season yet! What do your Ladies Lunches consist of? Thanksgiving Bliss!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We hope everyone had a very very Happy Thanksgiving with your families and friends. We absolutely adore Thanksgiving.  We certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, our absolutely AMAZINGLY fabulous clients.  We love you all and love every day working with you planning your dreamy weddings.

I hosted my first big girl Thanksgiving meal for all 15 of us.  It was a Huge success.  Thought I would share a few photos of my table.

I am certainly no photographer, so please don't judge the photography skills. HA!

I wanted a glamorous table. I spray painted faux gourds, pumpkins and leaves gold. Used Coral Peonies,A White Hemstitch table runner and napkins, and my fabulous Asian inspired Wedgewood China.  I love my amber stemware, but I added in some vintage etched wine glasses for an eclectic chic look.

I only used Coral Peonies for the flowers. Can you believe these beauties in November??

Gold, Gold and More Gold!

I love my Wedgewood Oberon china with my Amazing Celerie Kimble Huge Floral Print I upholstered my dining room chairs with.
