A Tiki Themed Baby Shower

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Guess what that "Events" stands for at the end our company name?!? Thats right- it's for all the other fabulous soirees we plan throughout the year!  This past weekend Renny planned and hosted a baby shower along with a few of her girlfriends for one of their mom-to-be besties, Anne.  We love dreaming up fun and creative baby shower themes, but this one was a total no-brainer given Anne's love of the beach (she had wanted to get married there originally!) and her dream of one day opening a Tiki Bar in Chicago- we just knew we had to do a girly twist on an island Tiki theme! After kicking off the theme with some festive invites from Paperless Post, Renny then called on Blue Plate for the catering, Cheree Berry for adorable paper goods, Hall's for rentals and our own Jesse Deckard to design the florals as well construct the fabulous Tiki Bar from scratch!

Guests enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside while sipping cocktails adorned with paper flags that read "Sleep when the baby sleeps, Drink when the baby drinks!"  Guests then sat down for a tasty tiki themed meal at tables surrounded by grass skirts and topped with colorful glassware as well as fresh tropical fruit and vibrant island inspired florals.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/3"][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="5893" border_color="grey" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width="1/3"][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]

a little springtime

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We don't know about you, but we could sure use something pretty to look at today to take our minds off the miserable rainy weather outside. Here's a little board of sunshine to remind us that all these April showers will bring a beautiful May!

Sprinkle Eggs

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Happy Easter from all of us at Bliss. We will be enjoying chocolate bunnies, poppy seed muffins, Renny's family cheese grits, deviled eggs (mmmmmm) and honey baked ham.  Mostly we will enjoy time with family and friends and will love watching the kids go on an Egg hunt in their Easter dresses and suits.

We will be hiding these eggs this year.  Who can pass up sprinkle eggs?  Maybe we will find one or two.  The kids can't have all the fun!

Here is the how to from Studio DIY

Hot Hue

While Renny sends us pictures from her much deserved family vacation with 85 degrees and sunny weather, we can’t help piggy backing on her itch for Spring to arrive in Chicago! From Michelle William’s Oscar Dress to the Flamingo’s that grace our text messages from Renny, we are loving all things CORAL.

Thanksgiving Bliss!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We hope everyone had a very very Happy Thanksgiving with your families and friends. We absolutely adore Thanksgiving.  We certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, our absolutely AMAZINGLY fabulous clients.  We love you all and love every day working with you planning your dreamy weddings.

I hosted my first big girl Thanksgiving meal for all 15 of us.  It was a Huge success.  Thought I would share a few photos of my table.

I am certainly no photographer, so please don't judge the photography skills. HA!

I wanted a glamorous table. I spray painted faux gourds, pumpkins and leaves gold. Used Coral Peonies,A White Hemstitch table runner and napkins, and my fabulous Asian inspired Wedgewood China.  I love my amber stemware, but I added in some vintage etched wine glasses for an eclectic chic look.

I only used Coral Peonies for the flowers. Can you believe these beauties in November??

Gold, Gold and More Gold!

I love my Wedgewood Oberon china with my Amazing Celerie Kimble Huge Floral Print I upholstered my dining room chairs with.

Real Wedding: Amanda & Bill

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It has been a busy but amazing summer!  i can't believe it is almost the holidays!  Where has this year gone? I have to share with you all a fabulous wedding we did for an amazing couple at the River East Art Center. We not only LOVED our couple, Amanda & Bill - but we LOVED their families.

The colors were a fresh turquoise, apple green and white.  So clean and crisp and modern.  I absolutely love these colors. Especially for a summer wedding.   I am actually a bit obsessed.

The girls wore darling apple green cocktail length dresses  with fabulous silver strappy Jimmy Choos!. The men wore super cool  grey suits and the groom wore an apple green tie.  So happy the men didn't wear black for once!  The bride wore CUSTOM  chartreuse Manolo Blahnik's that we were and still are completely gaga over.

From the hors d'oeuvres, to the Flawless cake, to the custom, to the amazing centerpieces, to the special Beer Tasting bar we surprised the groom with, the details were so much fun to design and bring to life.   Enjoy!

More to come in the next post.. stay tuned![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="6634" border_color="grey" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][vc_single_image image="6635" border_color="grey" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][vc_column_text]The first thing guests see as they enter the River East Art Center.
