Oscar Party 2014

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It’s time for the Oscars!!! We are excited for our favorite awards show of the season and it’s the perfect excuse for a party. Most Oscar parties will focus on black, white, gold, and perhaps some touches of red, with an Art Deco vibe. However, we love the unexpected!

Instead of a black and white throwback to Old Hollywood, choose a color palate that is fun and playful by taking inspiration from confetti. Set the scene with a fun piece of décor such as colorful tissue garland. Adding onto the bright colors, we love the new popcorn dish by powerhouse design duo, Courtney and Robert Novogratz, with its perfect pops of color. Be sure to upgrade that popcorn with one of these fun recipes. Or, spice up the movie theater classic by trying out one of our favorite simple popcorn tricks: add truffle salt for a savory touch or Hot Tamales for a sweetly cinnamon spin.

No Oscar party would be complete without some bubbly, but why not garnish your champagne with rock candy? If you want to take your cocktailing to the next level, we love this fun twist on Jell-O shots.

Don’t forget to print out your 2014 Oscar ballot and while you’re there, check out the great tutorial for a confetti mani to complete your Oscar party hostess look. We can’t wait to see what looks our favorite stars will be rocking and who will take home those prized golden statues!

xoxo

Thanksgiving Bliss!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We hope everyone had a very very Happy Thanksgiving with your families and friends. We absolutely adore Thanksgiving.  We certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year. First and foremost, our absolutely AMAZINGLY fabulous clients.  We love you all and love every day working with you planning your dreamy weddings.

I hosted my first big girl Thanksgiving meal for all 15 of us.  It was a Huge success.  Thought I would share a few photos of my table.

I am certainly no photographer, so please don't judge the photography skills. HA!

I wanted a glamorous table. I spray painted faux gourds, pumpkins and leaves gold. Used Coral Peonies,A White Hemstitch table runner and napkins, and my fabulous Asian inspired Wedgewood China.  I love my amber stemware, but I added in some vintage etched wine glasses for an eclectic chic look.

I only used Coral Peonies for the flowers. Can you believe these beauties in November??

Gold, Gold and More Gold!

I love my Wedgewood Oberon china with my Amazing Celerie Kimble Huge Floral Print I upholstered my dining room chairs with.
