Real Wedding: Carey & Matt

Take a look at the stunning Fall wedding of Carey & Matt planned by Renny on October 13th.  The Chicago Illuminating Company served as the venue for both the dramatic and modern ceremony as well as the glamorous reception that had guests celebrating well into the night!  Jeffrey & Julia Woods Photography was on hand to capture every beautiful moment from the stunning couple to all the little personal touches sprinkled throughout the event in the couple’s color scheme of rich navy, bright pink, grey and white.  The vibrant colors of Fall were also in full force to set the backdrop for some breathtaking bridal party shots in the courtyard of the Illuminating Company.  Even though it may have sprinkled a little earlier in the day, the weather cleared up just in time for the emotional ceremony set under a dramatic Chuppah created by Event Creative.  Guests were whisked to the cocktail hour in the cozy bar off of the courtyard  and greeted with a pink hued signature cocktail.  Dinner was served under the 40 foot ceilings of the main dining room complete with lucite candelabras and seemingly floating white hydrangea centerpieces adorning the tables.   The beaming couple and their guests then danced the night away only stopping for quick breaks to sit in the glossy white modern victorian lounge set up bordering the dancefloor!   Congrats to Matt & Carey!

Real Wedding: Kristin & Ted

Renny had the pleasure of planning a wedding this past August for an adorable duo, Kristin and Ted. After saying their I Do’s at the St. James Cathedral, their beyond stunning reception took place at the historical Drake Hotel. Positioned right along Lake Michigan, The Drake Hotel was the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous reception that had hints of a preppy, nautical vibe (not to mention, Ted proposed to Kristin outside the Drake under the gazebo). The décor centered around a classic navy and pink palette with stunning pops of gold as seen through the flowers by Cornelia McNamara, while the table numbers were street names of Chicago that had personal meaning to both Kristin & Ted. The cake was by a local bakery on Oak Street, Sarah’s Candies, and was positioned under the couple’s wedding monogram that hung above the head table. Olivia Leigh Photographie was there to capture all the special moments, we had a hard time choosing them for our blog! Congrats Kristin & Ted!

The ladies were all smiles as they got ready in the Princess Diana Suite at the Drake Hotel.

The gorgeous St. James Cathedral.

The navy and pink palette carried through to the guest’s ribbon wands.
